Ruth's Births (4)
(This was written for us after baby number 2 was born, we are now awaiting baby number 4 with Ruth and James.)

My name is Ruth and I am married to James. He is the man of my dreams. Together we have 2 sons and one new one on the way.

James and I met at church. I was 19 years old and he was 21. We married a year later. We were married 7 months before we saw the "double lines" on our first pregnancy test. It was a very happy time for us! We had heard about Michelle and Lynn (when Michelle was a co-owner of Special Delivery Childbirth Services) and went for a consult to ask questions. We were unsure about homebirth at first, and I think we asked about 100 questions or more, but we liked what they had to say. We waited to make a decision, and prayed and talked. James said he would leave this decision to me. Of course we chose a homebirth and we believe it is the best way for babies to be born for moms and babies that are healthy and strong.

Daniel was born on March 25, 2000. He was healthy, strong, and ready to conquer the world. He filled our hearts with more joy than one should be allowed to have in a lifetime.
My labor was about 14 hours long. Michelle was right there with me, she shines brightest when you most need her. She loves your baby, you can feel it. We actually became freinds and I know that in any crisis she would be strong and never panic. She is a good and she knows what she is doing. This is why I chose to Michelle when we became pregnant again 18 months later!
David was born March 27, 2002. The labor was hard from the get-go at 4:00 am. I had not had much sleep...not good! I was not prepared as he came earlier than I expected. It was a harder labor to deal with as he was a much larger baby and I was not very patient. The labor was 11 hours, but harder than Daniel's labor. I felt weak for lack of sleep. David weighed  a whopping 9 pounds 8 ounces! Thanks be to God he was a healthy, strong, and sweet baby. He is the meekest child I have ever know, and he has a very tender heart.
June 2004: We saw the "double lines" on our next pregnancy test just this last week and are scheduled to see Michelle in 3 weeks. This little one is a suprise to us, but not to God, so we are trusting Him with the needs of our family and we feel assured that His plan is perfect!
Grace was born...

March 2006: We are currently awaiting baby 4 in a few more weeks.
