Having a midwife attend you during your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period is parallel to medical care with a hospital based obstetrician. Midwifery care, although comprehensive and complete, is more relaxed and educational, although the same care will be provided. We cover the same topics as an OBGYN, (labwork, sonos, fetal growth) but hopefully we do so in a way that you can experience a more enlightened view toward natural childbirth. Our goal is not to manage your birth FOR YOU, but to guide it in away that will make it a joyous and wonderful experience WITH YOU. Your body was made inherently perfect for giving birth, and provided with the necessary information and understanding of the birth process along with the help of experienced midwives to assist in the birth itself, you should not need or desire drugs for your birth. Heart 2 Heart Birth Center was established by Michelle Gawne and has evolved to the around the clients needs and desires for natural childbirth options. Opening a birth center was Michelle's lifelong dream after having delivered her first son in a Victorian birth center similar to this one.  Heart 2 Heart Birth Center offers complete birthing services in a home setting that no other birth center can compare to, bringing the "home away from home" birth option to you personally!
